City & Guilds 2382-20 16th-17th Edition Wiring Regulation BS7671:2008 Update

The aim of City & Guilds 2382-20 course is to provide delegates with an awareness of the main alterations and additions incorporated in the IEE Wiring Regulations BS7671:2008 17th Edition.

 

The course aims to update delegates on the significant differences between the 16th and 17th Editions. It will therefore, focus on the main additions and alterations that have been incorporated in the 2008 17th Edition. It is primarily aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals e.g. electrical engineers, contract managers, designers, consultants, surveyors and other related trades with a good working knowledge of the IEE BS7671 and who have already achieved the City & Guilds Certificate in the requirements for electrical installations (BS7671:2008)(2381) . It is intended to ensure that individuals are conversant with the  format , content and the application of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2008 (17th Edition). Please note that where a topic is listed, only those parts of that topic that have been changed will be taught and assessed. It should also be noted that limited instruction will be provided on the existing requirements and electrical science.


Course Detail

The course covers the additions and amendments from the 16th to the 17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations. Candidates should also possess a good knowledge of the existing 16th Edition Wiring Regulations with their qualification being obtained after July 2001.

Entry Requirements


 

It is expected that candidates should have achieved a qualification which addresses the requirements for BS7671 such as City & Guilds Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2001 (2381) or a recognized equivalent. Anyone that has not achieved the City & Guilds 2381 or recognized equivalent should consider taking the qualification addressing the Wiring Regulations in full BS7671:2008 (2382-10).
