RESPONDING TO THE NEED FOR QUALITY TRAINING
There are very few disciplines that are subject to greater and more ongoing change than the Electrical Engineering Industry. Implementation of European Standards, integration of new legislation and huge advancements in Control Technology mean that companies need to continually review and revise their ability to respond to these changes. One essential issue in this is the education and training of key staff in the latest standards required by the industry. This suggests a requirement for greater flexibility within the workforce with a leaning toward multi-tasking. Electrical Training
Lockwell have identified this need and have responded by establishing a dedicated, fully equipped Technical and Training Centre (TTC) in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. There are also satellite training rooms at our Nottingham and Wrexham branches to cater for staff and customer training. Whether your requirements are project or maintenance biased, we can supply preset or even customised training courses for your staff to help equip them and your company to meet these new challenges. These courses cover a spectrum of disciplines from industry regulations and statutory legislation to programmable industrial control processors.
OUR SOLUTIONS - WE CAN:
- Provide high quality training to meet the needs of industry today for the challenges of tomorrow.
- Equip engineers to make the best possible use of modern high technology control products.
- Ensure that engineers are trained to meet the requirements of statutory legislation (e.g. Electricity at Work Regulations).
- Offer such training wherever it is required, either in our own training centre or on site.
- Respond to individual requirements by analysing training needs to identify Company-specific solutions.
THE TRAINING TEAM
Our trainers are experienced engineers who have worked with modern control systems both in Britain and throughout the world. That means that our training programs take account of the very latest developments in the field.
THE FACILITIES
Our Technical and Training Centre at Tewkesbury is a purpose-built facility which is conveniently situated a short distance from junction 9 on the M5.
We can accommodate individual delegates or groups of delegates in spacious and modern surroundings with air conditioning and a wide variety of courses offered.
Our training is based on an extensive range of equipment from different manufacturers. We work closely with these manufacturers to ensure that our instruction incorporates the most up to date information and equipment available.
Where courses require hands-on training, each delegate has the use of individual equipment to achieve the maximum benefit from the instruction given.
THE COURSES
The courses are structured to offer training at all levels from introductory technical training through to the use and programming of micro-processor based control systems (PLCs) and peripherals.
Most courses can be customised to suit particular company requirements, and can be either at our Technical & Training Centre, Satellite branches or customers own site.
Courses are also held to introduce specific new products in conjunction with the manufacturers.
Emphasis throughout is on the practical approach rather than the theoretical and there is ample opportunity for hands-on experience using state-of-the-art equipment.
CATERING
Lunch is provided on all training courses and refreshments are provided throughout the day.
